God's Purpose for His People with Benjamin Gladd

Today Dr. Benjamin Gladd helps us explore the topic of God’s purposes for his people here on earth and his ultimate purpose for us in Christ. Our hope is that this episode will encourage you to worship your Creator as you live out those purposes day-in and day-out.

NOTES & QUOTES

"Lack of trust in God's Word leads us to trust in ourselves."

"Genesis 3 contains the hopeful promise of the seed of the woman."

"The people of God bring life, not death, into the world."

“When you become part of God’s family, you are really changed.”

“To image God well is always marked by a life-giving function.”

“When I’m focused on worshiping God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength, then when I come into a different context, I’m able to participate in active worship of the Lord Jesus. Then we come ready to worship on Sunday morning.” -Hunter

Encouragement to be life-long learners of Scripture:

  1. Become a good observer of the text (preferably a physical Bible). Take inventory and write it all down. Questions, observations of the text, etc.

  2. Use cross-references. Write them down and keep track of the cross-references.
