“Walking Alongside One Another In…” Series
This series is all about walking alongside others in different seasons of life - in joy, in hardship, in relational brokenness, in pain, and in ministry - all with our eyes focused on eternity and the hope we have because of Christ. We pray that these conversations are a practical help and encouragement to persevere as you engage in a lifestyle of ministry alongside other believers - all with our eyes focused on eternity and the hope we have because of Christ. We pray that you will look to Christ as your strength and hope.⠀

On today’s episode of the Journeywomen podcast, we are talking about walking alongside others in pain and illness. Today’s guest, Gloria Furman, has walked alongside her husband, Dave, who has a nerve disability that affects both of his arms, while mothering their four kids and working cross-culturally, amidst other things. In 2010 Gloria’s family moved to the Middle East to plant Redeemer Church of Dubai where her husband, Dave, serves as the pastor. She is the author of Glimpses of Grace: Treasuring the Gospel in Your Home (Crossway, 2013), Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full: Gospel Meditations for Busy Moms (Crossway, 2014), The Pastor’s Wife: Strengthened by Grace for a Life of Love (Crossway, 2015), and Missional Motherhood: The Everyday Ministry of Motherhood in the Grand Plan of God (Crossway, 2016). You can read her blog at GloriaFurman.com and follow her on Twitter. Whether you’re personally enduring pain or illness or supporting and caring for someone else who is, I know you will leave this conversation feeling refreshed, challenged, and encouraged.
On today’s episode of the Journeywomen podcast for the final episode in our series, “Walking Alongside One Another In…” we are interviewing Susan Hunt. Susan is a former pastor’s wife. She served as Coordinator of Women's Ministries for the PCA, and she has authored several dozen books for women and children, of which I have greatly benefited from! We have the joy of hearing from a woman who has weathered many decades of ministry about how we too can persevere for a lifetime of ministry.
