Theology in Practice Series
“Theology in Practice: Knowing God Changes Who We Are and How We Engage with the World” is a five episode series released in the spring of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. These episodes seek to offer hope, life, and purpose in the midst of a challenging global crisis. As a reminder, the most helpful thing you can intake, ever, particularly in times of crisis, is the Word of God.
On today’s episode, we’re chatting with Rebecca McLaughlin who answered some really difficult questions about Christianity. We pray this conversation helps you look to Scripture for answers to the hard questions that you maintain, and that it will be a resource for you as you navigate difficult spiritual conversations of your own! Rebecca writes for multiple outlets, including The Gospel Coalition, Christianity Today, and Desiring God. Her first book, Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World's Largest Religion, was published by Crossway and The Gospel Coalition in April 2019 and was named "Book of the Year" by Christianity Today. This is the last episode in our series: Theology in Practice: Knowing God Changes Who We Are and How We Engage with the World.
On today’s episode, we’re chatting with Nana Dolce about loving our neighbors, even in the midst of challenging times like we’re facing right now with COVID-19. This conversation is packed with biblical truth. We think it will be such a help to you as you seek to walk in obedience to Christ’s commands to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. Nana Dolce teaches women and children in her local church--where her husband is the Director of Discipleship. She has a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and serves as an instructor for Charles Simeon Trust Bible exposition workshops. Nana writes for various ministries, including Christianity Today, Risen Motherhood, and The Gospel Coalition.

There is no one you’d rather hear from on this topic as we’re all seeking to love our neighbors while navigating the challenging realities that come with a global pandemic like COVID-19. This conversation will challenge you, offer really creative ideas for how to love your neighbor in the midst of a crisis, and exhort you to really know and love God and to know and love the people he’s placed around you too.
