Why Did Jesus Have to Die? with Yannick Christos-Wahab
Today we get to hear from Yannick Christos-Wahab about why Jesus came to die. This episode was inspired by a conversation I personally shared with a friend who asked, “Why did it have to be Jesus? How can Jesus actually pay the debt I owe because of my sin?” This is such an important question for us to really know and understand, and Yannick is going to help answer it. So you’ll know a bit more about him, Yannick is from Nigeria, and was born and raised in London, where he is now a pastor at Stockwell Baptist Church. Sharing Life and the Gospel with Cierra Bragan
On this episode of the Journeywomen podcast I chatted with my real-life friend Cierra Bragan about sharing life and the Gospel both locally and cross-culturally. We talked about everything from feeling the nervous jitters before we share our faith, to fighting off feelings of inadequacy and resting in who we know Christ to be and what he is capable of. Throughout the entire interview Cierra beautifully articulates the Gospel and encourages us to rest IN the Gospel at all times. She said, “What he requires he supplies, and he’s done that in Jesus. That’s just beautiful. It’s not Jesus plus, or Jesus in addition to my good works, or Jesus in addition to my Sunday School attendance. It is Christ alone.”

Living a Gospel Centered Life with Lexy Sauvé
Lexy Sauvé lives in Ogden, Utah, with her family where God’s called her to be a helper to her husband Brian, a homemaker, and momma to Ari Judah, Ira Lewis and Daphne Maeve. She also serves alongside her husband in ministry at Refuge Church in Riverdale, Utah. She enjoys spending as much time in God’s Word as she can, journaling, cooking, reading, visiting as many coffee shops as she can, and going on adventures with her kiddos. She has a degree in Creative Writing and sees her pen as a way to share what God’s been teaching her with others. As Contributing Editor for Deeply Rooted, Lexy spends a lot of time behind the scenes writing articles and excerpts for the website and magazine. She also reviews submissions, conducts interviews, and brainstorms new ideas for the magazine and website. Lexy and I connected through Deeply Rooted Magazine and our mutual friend, Dianne Jago, who was on episode 14 of the podcast. Today we’re chatting about the Gospel and how we need it every minute of every day. It’s one of my favorite conversations yet. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Decorating and the Gospel with Laura Wifler
Today on Journeywomen I had the privilege of interviewing my friend Laura Wifler of the Risen Motherhood podcast. We talk about everything from how the Gospel relates to decorating to spray painting curtain rods. Laura has been married for six years, is a mother to three precious little ones and is currently in the process of adopting two more from Eastern Europe. Laura is co-founder and co-host of Risen Motherhood, a ministry and podcast for women who are striving for gospel-centered motherhood. She likes her coffee black, going on hikes, dabbling in DIY and decorating, reading books with real pages to turn, and having impromptu dance parties in the kitchen with her children. Laura has the beautiful skill of tethering something that as seemingly trite as home decor to the beautiful truths of the gospel. She inspires me to know the foundational elements of the gospel more and to continue making those connections in everyday facets of life. If you want to connect with Laura and Emily of Risen Motherhood, be sure to do so over at Risen Motherhood at the links below.
